This artwork measures 210 x 290mm.
Built in 1926 at the Sentinel Waggon Works factory in Shrewsbury, this wagon was exported to Australia but is believed to have done little work. Repatriated back to the UK in 2006, she is now fully resotored.
Currently unframed, this artwork is drawn on a section of beech-faced plywood. The larger size of this artwork means I have been able to include lots of details including rivets and driving lamps, and even the small hooks along the front of the canopy. The elegant curves of the wheel spokes can be clearly seen, as can the water hose and its' saddle.
I have signed it with my initials in the lower right of the artwork, and it is sealed and finished with 4 coats of satin varnish on both sides.
