Original pyrography wall art of a vintage deltic diesel locomotive.
This Deltic locomotive is operated by the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. In this artwork, she is running round her train at Grosmont station.
These locomotives were among the first to replace steam traction in the 1960s', and were notoriously unreliable! It was not unusual to see a BR standard class loco or a Stanier Black Five pulling a broken down Deltic AND its train full of passengers back to the workshop!
There is a lot of detail in this pyrograph, and it took about 20 hours of work. The signal gantries, station clock and picket fence in particular. One of my favourites, so far, as the more you look, the more you see!
This artwork is aprox 450 x 250mm framed.
All pyrographs should be kept out of direct sunlight, as the sun will bleach the wood.
