Spitfire pyrography artwork on yew log section.

Drawn on a section of Yew log, I have set the Spitfire pyrography on the wood to use as much of the surface area as possible.  All the natural bark has been retained, and the wood is sealed with 3 coats of satin varnish.

Built by Supermarine, the Spifire, designed by R.J Mitchell in 1931, was built in greater numbers than any other British-built aircraft. Designed as a short range, high-performance intercepter single seat fighter, the Spitfire was arguably the most successful and most important aircraft ever flown by the RAF. Often credited (inaccurately) as saving the country during the Battle of Britain, it was built in several different versions, and assigned multiple roles including aerial reconnaissance, and there was even a Royal Navy version called the "Seafire".

I have signed it with my initials in the lower right of the artwork, it is sealed and finished with 3 coats of satin varnish on both sides and comes with a 'd' ring wall hanger.

Suitable for indoor use only. All pyrographs should be kept out of direct sunlight, as the sun will bleach the wood.

I always ship your order within 3 working days.

UK postage is always Royal Mail 1st class, takes around 1-2 days to reach you, and will need to be signed for when it arrives.
